The official schedule of the New York Fashion Week Fall 2023 Shows, which will be held in February 2019, was released by the Council of Fashion Designers of America today. After last year’s stay in Los Angeles, Rodarte’s Kate Mulleavy and Laura Mulleavy are back in New York to kick off the new season. They displayed their Spring 2022 Collection at Westbeth Artists Housing Complex, West Village.
Thom Browne will also be returning to New York City for a Valentine’s Day show. Since almost a decade, Thom Browne has been a keystay in Paris’s collections. Heron Preston is another American designer who has been a regular in Paris. This will be his first “proper runway show” in New York. Palomo Spain, a Spanish designer and stalwart is returning to New York after the European invasions of Marni & Fendi in the last season. They will be holding their show at the Big Apple on February 13.
Other schedule items include Collina Strada’s Hillary Taymour keeping her opening-day slot at 6 p.m., and Luar closing out the week with an 8 p.m. slot that was previously held by Tom Ford. The designer won’t be walking the Tom Ford runway after Estee Lauder purchased the brand in late 2013. Instead, the collection for fall will be available online. Both Tommy Hilfiger (and Peter Do) were absent after presenting large-scale shows in the last season.
The five-day event will conclude with presentations and shows by over 75 designers, including Anna Sui, Eckhaus Latta and Puppets and Puppets.
