Trevor Story had elbow surgery which will make him miss an indefinite amount of time. However, Red Sox teammates Kike Hernandez and Kike Sanchez called a reporter to discuss one detail.

Red Sox fans were left frustrated by the offseason, which continued Tuesday when Trevor Story’s bad news came out. Bob Nightengale first reported that Story had undergone UCL surgery to correct damage to his elbow that had been bothering the player for a long time. Story will miss the 2023 season, and his timeline is not yet known.

Nightengale’s reports revealed that Story was aware he would need surgery in the future but waited to have it done in the hope that he would be able to continue playing.

Kike Hernandez (super-utilityman) is a Red Sox teammate of Story. He says that this is not true. Nightengale was not surprised to hear Hernandez’s honest response about the Story injury.

The Red Sox are not boring, if anything.
