Josh Barnett’s reaction to the Phil Baroni murder allegation: “He was too difficult to manage and so scattered.”
Josh Barnett is a legend in combat sports and has commented on Phil Baroni’s alleged murder of his Mexican girlfriend.
After the breaking news, Barnett posted: “The terrible news about Phil Baroni” I’ve known Phil since 2 decades and saw at the JB Bloodsport 1st show that his behavior and personality were erratic. He was also displaced emotionally. It was clear why: CTE.
He continued to elaborate in additional tweets.
It was difficult to deal with him on the show. I had to stop booking him, even though I would have liked. His behavior was chaotic and too difficult to manage. “He exploded at me because he hadn’t used me again, and I blocked his social media account but there was nothing I could do,” he tweeted.
Also, he offered warnings to combatants.
He tweeted, “Fighters need to take care of themselves. Those around them also need to be watchful and vigilant.” It’s sad to see the loss of a friend for so many years and the fall in his health. It’s so horrible to see what happened in Mexico.
Baroni was never excused, he continued to insist.
“Oh, for those who are utterly stupid, I’ll be a moron and reply to the guys with zero comprehension of reading – this is neither excusing nor protecting. These points are not mine and I don’t intend to make. This is just my opinion in the context. He said, “If you don’t want to be stupid go somewhere else.”
Baroni was arrested after the girlfriend was discovered dead in their hotel rooms. After it became clear that she was having an affair, Baroni admitted to throwing her into the bathroom. Baroni claims that she hit her head, and later died from complications. It hasn’t been proven by Mexican law that Baroni is the person arrested, though clues suggest that he may be.
