NIP enters the LPL for the first time in 2023
On Tuesday, the two companies jointly announced that they had completed the merger. However, the terms of the deal’s financial terms were not revealed. NIP will be able to enter China’s League of Legends and esports markets through the merger.
This new entity will be known as “NIP Group”.ESV5 Chairman Mario Ho, and NIP CEO Hichamchahine were the NIP Group co-CEOs. However, the Chiese name will remain as eStar Gaming Victory Five – Xing Jing Wei Wu. The press release states that Sun “XiaOt”, the CEO of eStar Gaming, will be the president and eStar Gaming will still operate independently.

ESV5 is a joint venture of eStar Gaming (V5) and Victory Five, based in Wuhan. Ho founded the team. They competed in Chinese League of Legends Pro Leagues (LPL) for the past three years. The best result was third place in 2022 LPL Spring Playoffs.
V5 has been merged to NIP and will be competing in the 2023 LPL spring season. Management and roster of V5 have remained the same. NIP, the Western brand of LPL will be competing against Ultra Prime on January 15.
League Ninjas are back in Pyjamas as Ninjas
NIP, a well-known esports organisation that competes in FPS esports titles such as Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT and CS.GO. NIP participated previously in two EU LCS events.
They first purchased the old roster of Copenhagen Wolves in 2013. This included players such as Bjergsen Svenskeren and Deficio. The team competed up to the end 2014. NIP returned in 2017, but after one split, the team was removed from the EU LCS. They continued to compete in the European Masters circuit through 2018.

NIP, after four years of hard work, will enter the League competitions again for the third consecutive year. The Victory Five brand will be renamed with their own name.
