UFC President Dana White was caught on camera slapping his wife in her face at an event in Cabo San Lucas Mexico for New Year’s Eve. Initial publicization of the video came from TMZ.
White provided quickly a video message to TMZ White admitted that he had struck his wife. White’s spouse also issued a statement. TMZ They blamed alcohol for the accident and claimed that it had never happened to them in thirty years of marriage.
This incident happened weeks before Dana White’s Power Slap League was scheduled to air on TBS, which is owned and managed by Warner Media. The show featured slapfighting, in which competitors take turns hitting each other on the forehead.
White had said years ago that if a female fighter is hit by a male fighter, there would be no returning to the UFC. Some fighters have experienced this (Michael Graves and Will Chope, respectively). Some fighters, however, were allowed to fight for the UFC despite being charged, convicted, or even incarcerated for domestic violence.
