Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre seems to have gotten into a dispute with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R.Ga.), who is a prominent figure in far right politics and closely aligns with Donald Trump.

Dr. Dre takes issue with Marjorie Taylor Greene using ‘Still R.E.

Marjorie posted a video of herself confidently walking through the Capitol, while enjoying the election of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), as Speaker of the House of Representatives. The video featured “Still D.R.E.” from Dr. Dre as the background.

Marjorie uploaded the song shortly after Dr. Dre made it clear that he wasn’t happy with its unauthorized use. He went on to attack the politician.

A statement TMZDr. Dre stated flatly that he wouldn’t grant his music to politicians, particularly one as hateful and divisive as Dr. Dre.

Marjorie was removed from the video by Marjorie’s crew at Twitter around this same time.

Dr. Dre was quickly attacked by the politician.

While I like the creativity of your chord progressions, I wouldn’t play the words of violence against police officers and women, or your glorifying of drugs and thug lives.

Marjorie shared another screenshot of her statement on Twitter and wrote, “The next episodes.”

Dr. Dre’s attorney pops off in a cease & desist

Dr. Dre’s attorney Howard King issued Marjorie a cease-and-desist order. In it, Marjorie was charged with “wrongfully using”. [‘Still D.R.E.’] Promote [her] “A divisive, hateful and hateful agenda for politics.”

It is also important to mention that Marjorie was filthy by the lawyer.

One might think that a member would be familiar with our laws as they pertain to them. However, it is possible that the laws regarding intellectual property may be too complicated and not enough populist to have really spent much time with. Because we believe that a lawmaker ought to be creating laws and not breaking them, particularly those established by the founding fathers, this is why we are writing.

Marjorie must respond to the cease-and-desist request by Thursday. However, the message seems loud and clear.

The politician didn’t offer any additional commentary.

How do you feel about Dr. Dre’s and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s situation? Would you also be willing to witness more cross-over drama between political and rappers?
