Buffalo Bills DB Damar Hamlin Awake’ &?Showing Signs Of Improvement’

JAN 7 SCHERFF, JAGS MAKE PLAYOFFS Although the Washington Commanders won’t be making it to the playoffs, a familiar face will.

Brandon Scherff, an offensive lineman for the Jacksonville Jaguars, won Saturday’s victory over the Tennessee Titans. This season, he played in every Jaguars game.

Scherff was a Washington player from 2015-21 and is now making his third playoff appearance.

JAN 5 HILLLIN AWAKEAccording to Kaiir Elam, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamelin is awake, alert, and shows more signs of improvement than before.

Hamlin was admitted to the hospital on Monday after suffering cardiac arrest during the MNF match against the Cincinnati Bengals.

JAN 4 SAM HOELL STARTSAlthough Washington had previously reported that Taylor Heinicke would be starting at quarterback for Sunday’s finale of the season, practice started on Wednesday with rookie Sam Howell.

Additionally, Howell was throwing routes to starters like Curtis Samuel and Terry McLaurin when passers and receivers broke off to throw them.

Ron Rivera stated in his press conference, that Howell will start Week 18 against the Dallas Cowboys.

JAN 4 WASHINGTON COMMANDERS GOING BACKING TO HEINICKE It’s been reported that Washington has reversed course one week after Taylor Heinicke was replaced by quarterback Carson Wentz.

Heinicke will likely be the starter. However, the same report also states that rookie Sam Howell will get some playing time. He is set to make his NFL debut during the last week of regular season.

The team is yet to confirm.

This would indicate that

Carson Wentz is getting benched (again) … even as coach Ron Rivera is saying he has “no regrets” about the fateful decision to start Wentz in last week’s playoff-hopes-killing loss to the Browns.

It is probably a good idea for the 7-8-1 Commanders to start the experiment with Howell. This is against 12-4 Dallas which is still in playoff contention and trying to win NFC East.

JAN 3 NFL DOES NOT HAVE AN ANSWER TO BILLS-BENGALS RESUUMPTION Tuesday’s statement by the NFL regarding the Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup was released.

All games in Week 18 will be played according to schedule.

JAN 2 MNF SUSPIRED AFTER SCARY FLALLAfter one of the most frightening moments in NFL history, both the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills have been forced to suspend play.

With 5:58 remaining in the quarter, Bills’ defensive back Damarhamlin fell on the field.

It is not known when the game will be back in action.

JAN 2 COWBOYS PLAY LATE BY COMMANDERS According to the NFL, Sunday’s game between the Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys will be played at 4:25 PM EST.

Only the NFC East games will be available for later times.

Sunday Night Football on NBC will feature the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

JAN 1 COMMANDERS EXECUTEDAlthough the Washington Commanders started the day with control over their playoff fate, it was ended in the most disappointing way.

The Commanders have been eliminated from the playoffs by virtue of wins against the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

The Commanders are currently at 7-8-1 and hold the 10th seed of the NFC. There is no way to get in the top 7.

JAN 1 WENTZ WOBBLYCarson Wentz, the Commanders’ starter of today is not working.

In less than one quarter, he has completed 2 of 6 passes for 13 yards and two interceptions.

That’s right. Wentz scored two touchdowns at home against Browns. Two interceptions.

FedEx’s audience is already cheering Taylor Heinicke.

DEC 31; CURL DOUBTFUL; APKE ELEVATED VS. PATTERSONWashington Commanders have promoted Jaret Patterson, running back, and Troy Apke cornerback from their practice squad.

These moves were made after Antonio Gibson had been ruled out, and Kam Curl was made doubtful to play against the Browns on Sunday.

FedEx Field, 1:05 p.m. Sunday hosts the Browns.

DEC 30 NAMED NFLPACOMMUNITY MVP CHARLES LENO Charles Leno Jr., Washington Commanders’ offensive tackle is Week 17 NFLPA Community MVP.

Through his work with the foundation during “25 Days of Leno Claus”, he pledged over $90,000.

Leno was also named Commanders’ nominee to the Walter Payton Man-of-the Year award. The winner will be announced at the NFL Honors this February.

DEC 28 CARSONWENTZ STARTTING FOR COMMANDERS On Tuesday, Ron Rivera, Washington’s coach said that he had to talk with his players before making any final decisions about his quarterback.

According to reports, he appears to have done it and is now deciding to return to Carson Wentz as team’s quarterback.

This weekend’s Commanders game is against the Cleveland Browns. There are playoff implications.

DEC 26: JOSH NORDMAN CONTACTS PANTHERS For a work out, the Carolina Panthers have Josh Norman as cornerback.

Norman (35), played in four seasons for Washington between 2016-19. His first NFL home, however, was Carolina.

Norman was the Panthers’ final year player, and he made the 2015 Pro Bowl. The team reached Super Bowl 50 before being defeated by the Denver Broncos.

Norman, if signed, would be Jaycee Horn’s replacement. Jaycee broke his wrist against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.

DEC 24 HEINICKE BLENCHED FOR WENTZ Washington Commanders have changed their quarterback.

The Commanders have inserted Carson Wentz to the game in place of Heinicke after two consecutive quarter-end turnovers and a 16 point deficit.

Heinicke finishes his day with thirteen completions in 18 attempts, 166 yards and two touchdowns.

DEC 21 COMANDERS SENDING PRO BOWL 4 This year, the Washington Commanders will have a strong presence at Pro Bowl Games.

Terry McLaurin was wide receiver and surpassed 1000 yards in the season against the New York Giants. He was also the sole offensive starter.

Jonathan Allen, a defensive tackle made the team for defense. This was his second consecutive year.

Tressway, punter and Jeremy Reaves will represent the Commanders.

Daron Payne, Montez Sweat were named alternates.

DEC 18 CHASE YOUNGOUT VS. GIANTSFans, media and team members have been asking when Chase Young, defensive end, might debut.

Young is not a Commanders’ defense member.

And yet, that unit was the shining spot of a team with their playoff fate in hand.

There are no chances of being No. According to Sunday morning reports, 99 will be on the field against the New York Giants this weekend.

Everyone will now turn to Washington’s road game against the San Francisco 49ers, in order to determine if Chase makes it onto the field for his first appearance in more than a year.

DEC 17 COMMANDERS MAKE TWO MOVES Ahead OF GIANTS GAMES Washington Commanders activate offensive lineman Wes Martin, and clear defensive lineman Efe Oba before their Sunday Night Football match against the New York Giants.

Obada had a finger injury that left him questionable, but will be ready to face the Giants. Martin hasn’t made an appearance since Week 4.

DEC 12 CARSON BACK Today, the Washington Commanders activate Carson Wentz as an injured reserve member.

Wentz was last seen in Week 6, against the Chicago Bears, where he had a thumb injury and needed surgery. The team also placed Tyler Larsen, an offensive lineman on injured reserve.

DEC 8 W. ODELL BECKHAM, JR. DOESN’T GET DALLAS DEAL DONE According to reports, the Dallas Cowboys were among the top contenders for Odell Beckham Jr.’s services as a free agent receiver.

Although he left Dallas with no contract offer, it seems that if he returns to the NFC East, it will be with New York, where the Washington Commanders are next weekend.

It would not be reasonable to assume Beckham will be available to play Sunday night, even if he signed with the Giants.

According to reports, there was concern that he might not be available in 2022. Washington is less likely to see its old divisional foe this season.

DEC 6 NAME WPMOY NominEE Each 32 team named one player for consideration in the Walter Payton Men of the Year Award. That honor goes to Washington’s offensive tackle Charles Leno Jr.

Leno, 31 years old, signed this offseason a $37.5 million three-year contract.

DEC 5 KNEE CAPT – OUCHTyler Larsen, Washington’s starting center, was injured in his leg and had to be taken off the field after the tie at 20-20 with the Giants. The Athletic has now reported that Larsen suffered a dislocated left kneecap. Larsen also sustained an Achilles injury in last season’s season.

DEC 5 WASHINGTON: LINEBACKER LOSSES FOR DEC 5 WASHINGTON On Monday, it was confirmed that Cole Holcomb, team captain of the NFL, had undergone foot surgery. He will be out for the rest of the NFL season.

DEC 4 NO CHASE YOUNG FOR WEEK 13 AT NEW YORK GIANTS According to reports, the Washington Commanders will wait for the Giants’ bye week before bringing back Chase Young (knee) as defensive end.

DEC 1 SLYE NAMED ST PLAYER DU MONTH Joey Slye, Washington Commanders’ kicker is taking home hardware

Slye completed all 13 field goals during November’s Commanders game, which was 3-1. Slye scored four field goals in Week 10, against undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. He also added two points to the win.
