Bellator returns to Paris
Promotion announced Thursday that a fight for middleweight between Gegard Mousasi (Fabian Edwards) would be headlined at an upcoming event, which will take place May 12th at Accor Arena.
Since losing the Bellator Middleweight World Championship title to Johnny Eblen in June, Mousasi is not allowed to fight again. Two-time champion was unable to win four fights, including victories over John Salter (and Austin Vanderford).
Edwards was victorious in 2022. He defeated Lyoto Machida, Charlie Ward, and made back-to-back appearances to Bellator 281 & Bellator 287.
The co-headliner was also announced. It will see Sidney Outlaw vs Mansour Barnaoui in a quarterfinal fight in the Lightweight Grand Prix. Outlaw lost a 27 second TKO to Tofiq Musayev at Bellator 283 last July. Barnaoui won a second round rear-naked choke victory over Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 287, October.
Also confirmed was a pair of lightweight fights. The preliminary section of the event will feature Saul Rogers against Davy Gallon, and Thibault Guouti vs. Kane Mousah.
These are the latest additions to Bellator Paris’ current lineup:
Gegard Mousasi vs. Fabian Edwards
Sidney Outlaw against Mansour Barnaoui
Saul Rogers vs. Davy Gallon
Thibault Gouti and Kane Mousah
