TOKYO, January 13, 2023 – (JCN Newswire – Lexus will display the “RZ Sport Concept” and the “LX 600 OFFROAD TEAM JAOS-2022 ver.” Tokyo Auto Salon 2023 will be held in Makuhari Messe (Chiba City) for three days, Friday 13th to Sunday 15th January 2023. At the Tokyo Outdoor Show 2023, the brand will debut its “RX OUTDOORCONCEPT”, “ROVCONCEPT 2” as well as the “GXOUTDOORCONCEPT”.

Two concept cars will be displayed at the Auto Salon. They embody Lexus’ vision of achieving a carbon-neutral society.
RZ SPORT CONCEPT (Produced By Masahiro Sakaki)
On display will be the “RZ Sport Concept”, which combines the best of both a battery-electric vehicle with customization and contributes to a carbon neutral society. This model, which is based on the original Lexus battery electric model RZ, features high-output 150 kw motors at the rear and front to provide even greater driving power. This vehicle is now 35mm lower and has custom aero parts and larger tires. It also features full-back bucket seats at the front and back.
This model was developed under the guidance of Masahiro Sassi, a racing driver who also helped develop the RZ. It offers enhanced driving performance as well as the opportunity to customize. Exterior color “HAKUGIN”, a light white color, has a soft, shining appearance when lit by sunlight. The blue accent color evokes battery EVs’ clean, dynamic performance, accentuating its sporty look.
LX 600 “OFFROAD” TEAM JAOS 2022 ver
LX 600 “OFFROAD”, TEAM JAOS 2022 ver. TEAM JAOS, which is operated by JAOS Co., Ltd., will be also displayed. BAJA1000, one of the most difficult off-road races in the world, is only half the number of competitors that finish each year. All those who complete the race are considered winners due to the non-stop, grueling distance of approximately 1,600km (1,600 miles) from the start to the finish. This competition’s vehicle was modified in accordance with the regulations of the Stock Full Class (unmodified producer vehicle class), which focuses on safety improvements. TEAM Jaos and BAJA1000 are still working on the project over a 3-year period. As it gains racing experience, the competition vehicle is evolving. During the event, the vehicle will be displayed at the TGR booth located in East Hall.
